Getting Here
Our two sites are situated either side of the Medina River, both are easily accessible by foot, bicycle, car and public transport. The Cowes floating bridge that transports people and vehicles across the river, linking the two sides of Cowes is situated within walking distance of both the Gallery and the Boat Shed.

Take the Number 1 (via the Park & Ride) from Newport and alight at Arctic Road, cross into Arctic Road, left on to Bridge Street, then follow the sign for the Classic Boat Museum

Facilities and Accessibility
Parking
There is ample parking at the Boat Shed in the Medina Yard.
There is 2-hour blue zone parking located close to the Gallery.
Toilets
Toilets are located in The Gallery.
Limited Toilet facilities are available at The Boat Shed
Cloakrooms and luggage
We do not have a cloakroom at either of our sites, but we do have a space where coats and bags can be left. Any property left here is at the owner's risk.
Dog friendly
We welcome well behaved dogs on leads.
Food and Drink
We are very sorry, but food and drink are not permitted in either the Gallery or the Boat Shed. Please join us in protecting our exhibits from harm.
Café
Basic refreshments are available at both our sites for visitors with Coffee, Tea, Cold drinks and snacks.
Accessibility, Diversity and Inclusion
We welcome all visitors, particularly diverse audiences including those without prior knowledge of sailing. We want to share our maritime history with all.
Both sites are accessible to disabled visitors. Our exhibits have audio and visual material and there are QR codes for some displays. We also provide large print brochures.
