The Classic Boat Museum relies on the support and sponsorship of local people, organisations and businesses. Visitors and Friends from across the UK and further afield are also very important to the continued development of the museum. The donation or loan of artefacts, paintings and other heritage material is important in developing the collection and building the marine heritage story so significant in the history of Cowes.
Here we recognise many of the supporters and sponsors who have recently helped the museum. Our thanks also to those who have supported us anonymously.
The Classic Boat Museum is a registered charity generating its operating budget from admissions, charitable donations and sponsorship, we need your help to ensure the Classic Boat Museum continues to grow and flourish. We are grateful to all our benefactors, who contribute towards keeping us going. All proceeds are reinvested into making our museum a more enjoyable place for you and your family to engage with, and help preserve the maritime heritage of the Isle of Wight.
Ways you can you help
By donating or by giving your time and experience
The Classic Boat Museum is run by volunteers, and we need more!
For all volunteers the Museum offers a fun, exciting and growing opportunity for those interested in helping to preserve and continue the Isle of Wight and Solent maritime story. With exciting new developments, there is much work to be done. We have two sites and both need more volunteers to welcome visitors on the front desk. If you would like to be a museum guide, we’ll train you and support you with material. If you enjoy restoring boats, there is plenty to do. We also need more young people to help us with social media, writing blogs and a variety of techie jobs in the gallery. If you are a keen dinghy sailor, come and coach our visitors on the Dinghy Simulator.
Please Contact Jan Ford on firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
By visiting us regularly, we look forward to seeing you soon.
