Boat Shed update by Jill

The Boat Shed opened in time for Easter with a fresh layout. This year we are supporting the RNLI Bicentenary with a "Survival at Sea" trail. This has been put together by John Roslington. John is also working on new information boards for the boats, starting with the Beken launch Rosabelle. Plans are in motion to launch Vigia just before the Classics Weeks. She will then be on display ashore during Cowes week, repeating last year's success. Work on Ineos Team UK's AC 75 foiling monohull, Britannia II, is going ahead and we plan to start on the display in the Turbine Test Shed soon. With all this heavy rain, we are having problems with the leaking roof! As ever we are short of volunteers. So if you are or know of someone willing to help please let us know. We need all types of helpers - boat restorers, people who love doing research and writing, guides and of course front of house to welcome our visitors. Lonely or bored? Come and join our fantastic team. Jill
