Victoria Preston from the Museum spoke to 6th formers at Cowes Enterprise College on Wednesday 2nd November. The purpose of the talk was to encourage students to improve their CVs by volunteering at the museum.
Victoria was interviewed by Jessica Claridge-Law, a keen geographer, who asked her to explain the opportunities. These range from research, guiding, social media, local history projects and restoring boats. Victoria stressed that skills in research, writing and presenting material for visitors builds transferable skills useful anywhere in the workplace.
