StoneCrabs Theatre will present a brand new show Joe Carstairs - The Fastest Woman On Water for Isle of Pride on Wednesday 17 August as part of Wight Proms.
'Joe Carstairs' the fastest woman on water, written/devised by Franko Figueiredo & Krysia Mansfield. Fiercely independent and pushing against the grain in style and attitude, Joe Carstairs never tried to conform. From a turbulent childhood and driving ambulances in the First World War, to building boats on the Isle of Wight and becoming the fastest boat-racer of their generation. Here we tell their story - warts and all - accompanied by beautiful 20s, 30s and 40s songs performed by Krysia Mansfield.
