Treasures of the Archives

Congratulations to our museum historian, Rosemary Joy and archivist, Sarah Martin, who unearthed a treasure trove of photos and negatives of the late Duke of Edinburgh's Dragon sailing yacht, Bluebottle. Richard Johnstone-Bryden (who collaborated with us on the HMS Cavalier exhibition) is compiling an archive of Royal Yachts for the Royal Yacht Britannia Trust. He was delighted to find this treasure trove donated to the museum in 2018 by Trevor Smith, the brother of Clive Smith, who served as Bluebottle's boatman.
